Pioneer Tracks of Queensland Gallery
Discover the history of Mt Britton through the photographic eye of gold miner, John Henry Mills. The exhibition goes back in time to the early years of settlement and mining history of Mt Britton from early 1800's to mid-1920's. Some of the events captured in these moving images include the 1918 cyclone that devastated much of Mackay.
The MAC Services Group acknowledges the contribution of Lyall Ford—Great Grandson of John Henry Mills —who made the acquisition of these photographs possible.
