The MAC Nebo
The MAC Nebo, established in October 1998 is situated on the outskirts of Nebo, 91kms west of Mackay. Nebo, a historical town surrounded by cattle grazing and agricultural crops, has a population of 2,100 people.
We currently have 628 rooms at our Nebo Village. Our Nebo facility houses the “Coolibah Tavern” which is available for use by both our Village guests and the general public.
The MAC Nebo contains several mural series, painted by David Sheffield, our Artist in Residence. We have also reconstructed and mounted an antique dray as a sculpture. This was achieved through the collaboration of skilled craftsman at Nebo. For a number of years, in addition to the murals and sculpture, The MAC Nebo has housed the Pioneer Tracks of Queensland Gallery – a photographic celebration of the early years of settlement in Queensland.
